>> No. There is no reason to believe that God was not a guiding force behind evolution.
No. See question 1 [link]. There is no reason to believe that God was not a guiding force behind evolution. While it does contradict some specific interpretations of God, especially ones requiring a literal interpretation of Genesis 1, few people have this narrow of a view of God.
There are many people who believe in the existence of God and in evolution. Common descent then describes the process used by God. Until the discovery of a test to separate chance and God this interpretation is a valid one within evolution.

< But some textbooks say so that Evolution is unguided, hence destroying a need for God:
One recent textbook was very clear about this: "By coupling undirected, purposeless variation to the blind, uncaring process of natural selection, Darwin made theological or spiritual explanations of life process superfluous." 16 Other textbooks affirm that evolution is "random and undirected" and "without either plan or purpose" and that "Darwin gave biology a sound scientific basis by attributing the diversity of life to natural causes rather than supernatural creation." 17

>> No, it doesn't.
Macro evolution is compatible with God. It's called Theistic Evolution.
< But Theistic Evolution conflicts with interpretation of Genesis and other parts of the Bible.
>> No it doesn't. It's compatible.
Genesis is meant to be taken metaphorically.
< No, it's incompatible.

< Yes. Science and fundamental Christianity appear to be antithetical
Evolutionists make science and fundamental Christianity appear to be antithetical, promoting the dogma that science can only be understood from an evolutionary perspective. As David Suzuki, well known for his science programs on Canadian television, has written:
“Evolution is an informative and enlightening lens under which we can scrutinize the natural world, including human history. Denying or ignoring this theory hobbles us intellectually to the point that it becomes virtually impossible to understand nature.”

< Yes. It has killed a friend's faith (Anecdotal)
The only reason this person doesn't believe in Jesus is because of Macro Evolution.
< Yes. It has killed Lee Strobel's faith.
He lost faith when Macro Evolution was presented as fact.
He said:"That's when, on that pivotal in biology class in 1966, I began to learn about scientific discoveries that, to borrow the words of British zoologist Richard Dawkins, "made it possible to be an intellectually fulfilled atheist."1
He later became Christian after re-examining the faith.

< Macro Evolution kills the importance of God and makes people into atheists, and even religious atheists.
Those who hold on to their faith will try to believe in theistic evolution... but NOT those who don't hold to their faith.
When some people feel there is no longer a need for God, then some can be as free as they want and become enchained and bounded inside a lustful lifestyle, and thus have sex, party, and do drugs as much as they want. Once they experience that enchaining experience of pure lust, it becomes hard for them to escape. Because the lustful lifestyle is so strong, some don't want anything, not even God, to ruin their fun.
That's why some become strong atheists and thus become stupider by ignoring and distorting truth and good logic so that nothing stops them.
This is almost verbatim with what Paul said in Romans 1:21-1:32
So how does it all start? It all starts first with denying God exists with the help of macro evolution.
Scientific Community & Theistic Evolution
Face it, our scientific community is not going to teach about theistic evolution. They are so biased as to want pure "secular" macro evolution taught as much as possible. So in our public education machines, we have massive amounts of Christian kids entering colleges and exiting out as atheistic believers of macro evolution.
And with little hope can you go up to EVERY one of those kids and teach about theistic evolution in hopes to keep them from disdaining their faith in God. Your rate to doing that won't match the rate of how many kids become atheistic by college.
And this trend won't last long... it'll get worse; because TODAY most of our kids enter college as Catholics and such. But in the next 100 years, they'll enter as pure atheists.
So to sum up: macro evolution immediately has to do with Jesus. If they don't believe in God, then they can't believe in Jesus.
